Good news: Another spectacular Camp New Hope is in the books!
Campers at Lums Pond State Park and Killens Pond State Park enjoyed many different fun activities and were also given a safe space to express their grief and journey with losing a loved one.
On the last day of each camp, a memorial service was held with many family members in attendance. Each camper presented their own unique way of remembering their loved one by singing a song, dancing with their friends, or by writing and reading beautiful lines of poetry.
At the end of the emotional service, all the campers placed a custom ornament on a baby ‘Memorial Tree’ as their loved one’s name was called, and a bell was rung in their honor. These trees are now planted in both state parks and may be visited for years to come by our campers.
We cannot thank our volunteers and sponsors enough for allowing Camp New Hope to be a reality each and every year. We already cannot wait for Camp New Hope 2025!

Many must navigate a range of emotions, including fear, anxiety, and insecurity before they are emotionally mature enough to process their loss. In response to their special needs, New Hope New Hope was designed for children who are coping with an expected or unexpected loss.
